57/366 Day | Trip to Asian Store

We went to the Asian store downtown today and bought a bunch of goodies for pinay wifey. Bought some fish too. It was a different trip compared to the previous because this time we all went to the store. Jake had this funny reaction of the place and said “This place is a mess”. Anyway, I spent $40 in that place and it’s all worth it.

The Adorable Beauty of Menorca

Menorca or also known as Minorca is one of the islands in the Balearic Archipelago. It is a part of Spain and has a population of less than a hundred thousand inhabitants. The island is famously known for the stone monuments here that are believed to be built by the prehistoric humans and these monuments vary in size. Some of them are small but most of them are built really big and how it is built by humans who do not have adequate tools is still a mystery until this day.

The main airport of this island will be the Minorca airport and there are only domestic flights in here as well as other flight exclusive for those in the United Kingdom. Therefore, if you come from other country except United Kingdom, you need to go to other destinations in Spain before you can transit to this airport. It is not difficult to find a car for hire here because there is a car hire Menorca services available at the airport for those who need them.

Menorca is a great place to take a dip into the refreshing water at the beaches because the water is really clean and the lifeguards are really doing their job here. You can also do various activities at the beach like sunbathing and also horse riding here. Nudist can also have their sunbath here, and it is not compulsory to everyone. You can also enjoy the boat tours at the beach where they will take you to the coastlines of Menorca that is so beautiful when you see it from the sea. If you are brave enough, you can also rent a motorboat here that needs almost no experience to drive. You will have a great time at the beaches of Menorca.

The best place to spend the night in Menorca will be the resorts and hotels located along the coastlines. If you are searching for a hotel with great facilities and an affordable price, you can try your luck at Hotel Stil Victoria Playa which is a three star hotel. Even though it is just a three star hotel, you can find a lot of tourists renting a room here because the staff here is helpful and the food at the restaurant is really good. You can find a huge swimming pool here if you are not fond of your children’s safety at the sea. All in all, Hotel Stil Victoria Playa in Menorca is a great choice for those who have a tight budget.

Tuesday Travels : Remembering our New York Trip {Central Park Conservatory Water}

New York City “The Big Apple” was one the my dream place to visit and couple of years ago that dreams came true. The purpose for that visit was to renew my passport and submit a report of marriage. We stayed at my SIl place in Manhattan where Central Park is just a walking distance. It was a tiring walk but I did not mind it because i love it.

Central park is one of the biggest park in the US. Lots of things to see in Central park and this Conservatory Water was one of them. People with radio powered sailboat enjoy hanging out in this place to play with their boats. You can also enjoy bird watching in this place and sometimes a group of people playing different musical instrument for entertainment.

Can you spot the crying baby? She did not want to listen the Ugly Duckling Story I think.

[Hans Christian Andersen Statue]
Just west of the Conservatory Water where kids often race miniature sailboats, the statue of Hans Christian Andersen awaits exploration. The memorial was built primarily with funds raised by Danish and American schoolchildren in memory of the author of such famous tales as “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and “The Ugly Duckling.” On Saturdays at 11 a.m. from May through September, children (and parents) gather to hear free storytelling based on his fairy tales near his statue.

Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) is best known for his children’s stories such as The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Little Mermaid and The Ugly Duckling.

Some extra tips

A miniature train ride is available free of charge on Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The train runs from the ranch to the first parking lot on the left as you pull into the property.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted at Bonnie Springs Ranch, but food is available at the restaurant inside the attraction.

If you bring a stroller, be aware that dirt and/or gravel streets and walkways make it difficult to push them around.
